Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference – March 19, 2012
With the avalanche of technology tools available, it’s often difficult (and time consuming) to experiment with and successfully incorporate online platforms into the social studies classroom. In this session, specific Web 2.0 tools will be presented along with examples of integration in classroom instruction and student learning. Come see how to make interactive online trading cards, have students create multimedia scrapbooks, utilize Google forms as a powerful collaborative device, open a unit with an interactive mind map, and develop a historical social network. Teacher and student examples will be provided, and the collection of tools will be archived online for all attendees. The session will culminate with time for teachers to share their successful examples of tech tool integration.
