DO YOU WANT TO SUCCEED? 2012
In June, I asked my graduating historians to give some words of wisdom to their successors. Here are a few tidbits of advice from last year's students.
In order to succeed in 8th Grade American History ...
á Try to get your homework done at a reasonable time and set yourself to work on NHD.
á CHECK THE SITE, every day.
á Don't insult Taft's Italian paper
á Don't be afraid to answer questions in class.
á Organization actually is the key to success.
á Do not make bets with Mr. Taft. You will fail miserably.
á Always do your homework like your practicing for your a big football game, not just to do it.
á Bring all your materials and a smile.
á ASK QUESTIONS! It all makes a lot more sense.
á DonÕt deny Mr. Taft's ninjaness.
á Use rubrics when doing assignments.
á Bring him Peach Jolly Ranchers.
á DONT TELL TAFT WHAT PEOPLE U THINK R HOT :)
á Participate in simulations.
á Be enthusiastic about what you are learning!
á Listen to Mr. Taft, he knows what heÕs doing :)
á Get notes if you were sick.
á Do extra reading from online.
á Taft is always (well most of the time) right.
á Enjoy it while it lasts -you don't have Taft next year.
á DonÕt do your homework before school... He will see you.
